Welcome to the study of Contributing to the Advancement of Civilization: Towards a Framework – Unit 1: Justice and the Oneness of Humankind, a text developed by Fundación para la Aplicación y Enseñanza de las Ciencias. This course offering uses several online technologies that you will need to use to participate in the course. These are described below.

Moodle

The primary course site uses the Moodle platform and can be accessed at: http://online2.lazoslearning.org

On this site you will find the course syllabus and course text. This is also where you will upload your weekly reflection assignments and can monitor your progress in the course.

Slack

Slack is an online communication hub that LazosLearning uses to host its online discussion forums. Your tutor will communicate with you and your study group through these forums. The forums are also a place to ask questions about the content and reflection assignments, enabling all participants to help each other in their study of the text. You are encouraged to fully participate in the forums, as experience has shown that when used well they assist all to better understand the content of the text. You will receive by email an invitation from your to join the course Slack workspace. Please accept the invitation and follow the required steps to enroll as soon as possible so that you do not miss any communications.
